While living in Colorado, I climbed a mountain now and then. Even though I seldom saw a bald eagle, on this day I saw something new to me. It took two of us three hours to climb this “hill”. On the way down we scared up two deer who took only 5 minutes to reach the top. While resting and enjoying the view we saw an eagle soaring below us. Watching him glide on the updrafts, circle, and swoop was better than television. It’s difficult, but not impossible to catch such a sight in a figurine, but the Soaring Eagle Statue does a pretty good job of it.
